The charming conservation village of St Boswells has a thriving local community and provides an excellent range of shopping facilities, including a post office, butcher, field sports shop, the award-winning bookshop and café, Mainstreet Trading and bar and bistro at the Buccleuch Arms. The local primary school in the village has a good reputation, while the village is in the catchment area for the highly regarded Earlston High School.
The village also has an excellent range of recreational facilities, including a golf course, cricket club and tennis courts and club, a village hall and reputedly the largest village green in Scotland, as well as many attractive walks along the River Tweed. St Boswells is well located in the heart of the Scottish Borders, with the nearby A68 giving easy access to Edinburgh and the South and to the other main Border towns. The Borders Railway Terminus in Tweedbank is a short drive away and offers easy access to Edinburgh city centre.
